Words for Wellness 1 - Why your words matter
Let your words take you on an inner journey of self-discovery. When you change your words, you change your world
Journaling and writing down my feelings have long been my go to for healing, for clarity, for conscious understanding, for reflection and growth.
I say it a lot - I love words, in fact words and their meaning are my superpower. I love reading them, I love writing them, I love listening to them and I love speaking them. I love how they can empower and lift us up, and how we can inspire others through our use of them.
And just as they can empower us, they can also disempower us and keep us playing small.
Words and thoughts have vibration and power beyond our wildest dreams. As you clear the old patterns of low-energy thoughts, low-energy words, low-energy actions, and unsupportive beliefs, you make connections with the power of light and life, and it’s possible to manifest everything you ever want or need.
Every limiting belief can be changed through language - from how you talk about the things that challenge and inspire you, to how you think about them and believe whether they’re possible or not.
So it stands to reason that to live our best lives we need to be more conscious in the words we use and the thoughts we allow to guide our actions.
✏️ Journaling Practice
Allow yourself the time to do this exercise in its entirety, don’t rush it. Begin writing whenever you are ready and follow the words and the emotions wherever they lead you.
Think about the core transformative events of your life
I’m talking about the events that shaped your evolution as a person — the overtly dramatic events or intimate and quiet moments (something your mother said that you have never forgot, a life changing moment that whilst small to some was big and significant in what it gave you) These are the events that have shaped who you are.
📗 Write down a list of at least five major moments in your life - moments that shook you, emotionally and spiritually, to your core - events that signal points of transformation or rebirth in your life’s narrative.
📕 How do you feel when you think about those moments - what words do you use to talk about them, what emotions arise? What recurring thoughts do you tell yourself as a result of these moments?
📙 Do you believe those words and thoughts - are they based on fact? This is where I really want you to take the time to sit with your thoughts and emotions, to feel into them and then to challenge them on paper - not just in your head.
What assumptions have you made?
Are there different perspectives you could explore?
What have you accepted as truth - and is it truth?
What did you learn and how did this change you - for better or for worse?
📘 How can you change the way you think and talk about these moments? Think about how you would prefer to think and feel?
🌟 Matrika Shakti
As a lover of words and the power they hold - Matrika Shakti is my newest magical awareness. Google it - there’s so much to discover.
In Sanskrit, the Matrika Shakti is the magical attracting power of language.
“Matrikas are defined as tiny mothers of “creation” who represent the deep roots of each vibration of sound from which letters, words and language are shaped.
Matrika is the subtle strength that is behind the thought and the word. Matrika is the force that can cause a spark, a movement that can change peoples lives. Matrika reveals itself when awareness starts to walk the new path.”

What you seek to change must first be exposed and felt.
The pain within is like a tidal wave threatening to engulf all which you hold dear.
Let the pain surface and sit with it.
Feel it, be it, own it.
No more pushing it down or ignoring it.
For only when you sit within your pain will you truly begin to understand it
What is it telling you, what lessons can be learnt from it.
Now you are ready to open the floodgates and release all which holds you back.
You are the wind, you are the storm, you are the exact freedom you seek.
Know not what is sought.
Know only what is felt.
Who do you seek to be?
Be that, be open, be honest, be free
