We all love change when it’s on our terms
Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. - Leo Tolstoy
I love change, I’m willing to change…
…says she who drives the same way to work every day; who has a routine way for doing things; who likes structure, lists and organisation.
Sound familiar?
It’s easy to say we love change when we’re talking clothes, hairstyles, entertainment, jobs and everything that feels good and easy.
But are you willing to change yourself…

Are you willing to give up the things that bring you comfort and that distract you from the very things that challenge you.
Things like…
social media
television shows and streaming platforms
activities that don’t grow you
relationships that don’t bring out your best
mind numbing practices and routines
alcohol, drugs, nicotine, caffeine
What would it take for you to give up the thoughts that keep you small, or the people that hold you back, or the beliefs that have you living in fear and lack?
Now tell me again you like change…
Especially when you’re waiting for life to hand you the job of your dreams, or for your dream lover to cross your path, or for that life changing financial win to land in your bank account.
No judgement here, most of us understand the thinking.
How many of us spend our lives waiting?
Waiting for life to be better…
Thinking that everyone else gets all the lucky breaks.
The thing is, change won’t knock on the door one day and say ‘here I am’. No matter how much you hope it will.
True life altering transformation only happens when we’re prepared to give up the things we use to make us feel good.
And most times, that level of life change will be chaotic, scary, painful, earth-shattering and BIG! Terrifying even.
Sometimes it’s okay to not know which way to go, or what’s coming next.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is say yes to something, and then trust in what follows.
And sometimes it’s saying no and walking away from what no longer serves us.
I want more for you…
I want more for me…
So, what will it take?
Keep smiling, Fi 🌻
