I heard an insightful comment on a tv show the other day. And it struck a chord.
And from that comment, these words fell onto the page for me…
Don’t tell me everything will be okay
Don’t try to fix me, or the situation
You asked me what I needed
And it’s the simplest of things
Just let me feel what I feel
💎 Let me feel sad
🔥 Let me feel angry
🍀 Let me feel lost
🌟 Let me feel hurt
Let me feel whatever I’m feeling
The thing is, when I feel what I feel, when I sit with my feelings and let them move through me,
then and only then,
can I begin the journey to healing and finding my way back to wholeness.”
In our humanness, we often try to fix situations and fix people. When in reality, the quickest path to healing can be found in sitting with our feelings.
This is a reminder to you that the greatest gift you can give someone else, is to let them feel what they feel. With no judgement, and no expectations.
And while you’re at it, make sure you’re doing the same for yourself

Note: in the spirit of feeling what I feel, and sharing - I’ve avoided Substack for the longest time because my words felt like they were going into the void and being ignored and unseen.
And I own those feelings - it’s okay to feel unseen and ignored, that’s about being human, but you still gotta put it out there, you can’t stop doing things because of how you feel.
